I wanted to update you. I had a wonderful time in the Greek Isles and in Rome. I met my friend Jane in the Rome airport and it started a week of many new and wonderful memories. Santorini was my first excursion. I loved that area and had a great meal in a restaurant there with a fabulous view. This first excursion helped me know my limits as it showed me that I can not do what I used to, but I am not going to stop trying. We lucked out with a fabulous dinner table group including Jackie Bultje and her daughter Rachel from Canada as well as Jody Brechbill and her son Aiden. So much fun getting to know these table mates. It was a great trip I will treasure forever! Now to the real world.....
Today as you read this, I will be having my long anticipated surgery. I go into the hospital at 7:15 am EST where they do something with my lymph nodes to see while doing the surgery. My actual surgery will take place around 9:30 am EST. My husband Jake is taking me and will be waiting for me to get out. I am thinking positive thoughts, but would really appreciate my prayer warriors praying for me as well as my surgeon Frank Powell. I would really appreciate that. I will be in the hospital a day or two if all goes well. I am counting on that. Once I get home and situated again, I will post to let you know how it all went. It was so good to have a great trip before having this surgery. I did get a brain MRI for my brain last week and it came back negative so all is well with that. Good to know I have a brain. I had my treatment last week and all went well with that along with my bone strengthener shot. I am always wiped out after my treatment, but am glad I got it behind me before surgery.
