Christmas Paper Other Than For Christmas
September 26, 2016
I absolutely love to use various occasions Designer Series Papers for projects other than their intended use. The above card was made using This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper for a use other than Christmas. The base cardstock is really Very Vanilla but looks pink possibly because of taking the photo on a red table runner. Imagine it Very Vanilla so you can actually get what they card actually looks like. The base was cut out of an 8 1/2" by 11" piece of cardstock cut at 5 1/2" half way down the 11" side. Then you fold the card in half. The black cardstock was cut at 5 1/4" by 4". The Designer Series Paper was cut at 5" by 3 3/4". You layer the Designer Series Paper on the Basic Black Cardstock and then adhere to the card base.
Gold Foil Paper was cut with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits. I place wax paper on top of card stock before cutting which helps make the paper much easier to get out. Somehow I did not use enough pressure with the a on Congrats and it was hard to get the center of the a out. No problem. I used two gray enamel embellishments in the center of the a to cover it up and add texture to the sentiment. An extremely easy card that would be great for any gender for a congratulations card. I hope you get to experiment with getting other uses out of your paper. It is so much fun!
