Creative Inking Blog Hop Holiday Sneak Peek
August 20, 2016
Welcome to this month's blog hop. I know you will love the products in the Holiday catalog. I will show you a couple of projects I completed and hope you have as much fun as I have when you complete your holiday projects.
The Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper was used for the floor, wall and tree topper in this scene. The cheese Christmas tree was made using the Cutie Pie Thinlits. It was made by making two "trees" and putting them together before using adhesive to close the sides. The outside was punched with holes to make it look like Swiss cheese . The gold baker's twine decorating the tree is from the Stitched With Cheer Project kit.
The mice were stamped with the Merry Mice stamp set on thick Whisper White card stock, colored with Stampin' Write markers and fussy cut (hand cut) out. They were then placed on Cherry Cobbler card stock and cut out. A card stock strip folded to make a square was adhered to the back of each mouse so they would stand.
I love making various scenes to place around the house. This one will go on a table with various cheeses and crackers for entertaining. Whimsical and fun!
The above card was a deviation from the Stitched With Cheer Project Kit. The instructions were to sew the card. I was not in a sewing mood so placed rhinestones over the holes. The Merry Mouse stamp set was again used for the sentiment and caroling mouse and adhered to the card. The sentiment was backed using the Candy Cane Designer Series Paper. This kit is a great kit whether you want to sew or not. Very easy and so much fun to work with. Extremely user friendly which I love.
Thank you for stopping by on the hop. Now hop on over to Sandy's blog and see what wonderful creation she has. Please subscribe to this blog so you do not miss anything.
