Thinking Of You Card By Shirley Greathouse

Thinking of you

Shirley Greathouse made this swap for Joann's Retreat and I loved it so much.  First of all it is made with one of my favorite stamp sets Thoughts And Prayers.  I have used that set so much for so many things and continue to do so.  She stamped the flowers with the Petite Petals stamp set and punched it out with the coordinating punch, popping the flowers up with dimensionalss and adding a pearl to the center.  So elegant!  The leaves and flowers were embossed using Versamark for the pad and white embossing powder.  The Sizzlits Little Leaves added to the flowers.  The Oval Framelits were used for the window opening.  The Brick Wall Embossing Folder was used to give the card the white brick look.  Such an elegant card that is ready to send.

That is the thing I love about events now.  Many people are making full cards and leaving any personal information completely off of the card.  They put ingredients or personal information on a post it note or copy it and place a piece of paper with the information inside of the card or clear envelope.  It makes it so useful because the card may now be sent.  I can use the card immediately to send to someone who is sick or needs some lifting up.  I love that.  I have so many card fronts or cards in my stamp room that are waiting for me to take the information off and remount so that I can send.  Many of those cards or card fronts are years old.  I may or may not ever use them.  That is why I like this new trend.  It makes me send more cards to more people and I am so appreciative to the swappers for doing this.  I try to do the same for them.

Remember that if you want to get the PDF of Joann's Retreat, it is available for $20 below.  I will e-mail it to you once you have paid.  Full of all the photos of the projects made along with supplies and instructions.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Subscribe to this blog so you do not miss out on anything.
