March 2016 #Imbringingbirthdaysback Creative Inking Blog Hop
March 20, 2016
Thank you for coming to my blog Phyllis Stamps to hop! I am excited about sharing some projects that are perfect for #Imbringingbirthdaysback
The following is a gift I made for a special person. It was extremely simple to put together because the shadow box was purchased from a big box store. It can be filled with all sorts of things but the person I am giving this to loves money to buy special things, so that is what it was filled with. I have filled shadow boxes like this with chocolate and various candy, coins, pom poms and all sorts of things depending on the theme. Who would not want to get a Shadow Box Birthday Card? It is hard to see the frame's color, but it is gold and makes it all extremely special looking. White Stazon ink dries slower on glass than card stock but it stays on the glass which is important.
Below is a card that Colleen Dewey made for Joann's Retreat (see previous posts). I absolutely loved this card since it is such a great guy card.
She did use photo paper for the world map to give it the look she wanted but everything else is using Stampin' Up!® products. The Tiny Tiny Wishes stamp set was used for the sentiment and Traveler was also used. Such a nice card and I can say that since I did not make it. The rhinestone was colored to give it a different look.

What a cute idea to fill a shadow box with money! I always feel odd giving money- but this would make it still seem more special :)

A money frame? Rolling money and tying with a bow? Stamping on frame glass with White Staz-on Ink? I am definitely going to copy this creative idea!!! Love the 3-D look of the world map on the card! Your projects never disappoint me, Phyllis!
