Creative Inking Blog Hop February Blog Hop - Easter Bunny Hop

Creative inking blog hop

Welcome to this month's blog hop.  For this February Blog Hop Easter Bunny Hop, I decided to use a sheep theme.  Because I am a Shepherd (my last name) I happen to love sheep.  The Easter Lamb stamp was perfect for Easter this year.  I cut the stamp so that I have two stamps.  The lamb and the sentiment.  I placed the sentiment at the end of the wood block.  Now for the fun!

Sheep 3

For the above ornament filled with malted milk easter eggs, an 80 mm plastic globe ornament was used.  Eggs were placed in the globe and then the two halves were put together.  Tear and tape adhesive was placed around the seam of the ornament to make it hold really well.  Next, Botanical Gardens Designer Washi Tape was placed around the tear and tape.  I thought this tape looked like Easter grass which was perfect.  Next the lamb was stamped in Archival Basic Black ink on whisper white cardstock.  It was punched out using the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch.  A Mossy Meadow piece of cardstock was punched out using the 2 1/2" circle punch and glue dots to adhere the scallop onto the circle.  A Pink Pirouette Stampin' Write marker was added for  blush on the cheeks, ears and feet and pearls were added to dress up the lamb.  The grass was colored with a Stampin' Write marker.  A small hole was punched at the top of the circle.  Linen thread was threaded through the hole and attached to the hanger hole of the ornament with enough thread to hang the ornament.

Below is a simple card to go with the ornament.  The head of the lamb was "fussy cut" and placed on the washi tape.  Simple but perfect for the ornament.
