Creative Inking January Blog Hop Love All Around
January 20, 2016
Welcome to this month's blog hop. You will want to hop around to all of the extremely talented demonstrator's blogs. For this month's Love All Around Hop, I wanted to show you a simple gift that any car owner would love to have. It is a car freshener for your car. It may be made in any way but I thought the one below would be fun for February. It would make a nice gift for a teenager who just got their license or any driver for that matter.
The freshener is made using Watercolor Paper. This is to absorb whatever scent you will be using. I have used essential oils depending on what I like but using a favorite fragrance would work as well. Just put the oil or scent on the Watercolor Paper part of the freshener. The freshener was cut out with the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits. The smaller card framelit was used as it was closest to the size of a store bought freshener I had purchased years ago. This freshener can be cut out of all sorts of shapes depending on what you want your creation to look like. I have made it with flower shapes.
The above freshener is a drawer sachet. I made it without the ribbon and put lavender essential oil on it to give the linens in my drawer that scent. Again made the exact same way as the car air freshener but without the ribbon. Scented the same. A great gift for that person who is hard to buy for.
Above is the car freshener swap I made for the Brussels On Stage Live event. I used the Basic Black Archival ink and let it dry before coloring with an aquapainter and ink from my ink pad lid. I used the Birthday Blooms stamp set I received at Founders Circle for the flower.
Two fun project ideas that will certainly spread love all around! Thank you for stopping by. Make sure and click to see Lisa Curcio's blog next. You will not want to miss it. Subscribe to this blog so you do not miss out on anything.

Phyllis, every month I look forward to your amazing creativity. This is so much fun and I'm definitely going to try this! TFS

Sue, for the freshener I saw the absorbency of the watercolor paper and thought of that. Works and I love giving them away.

Phyllis, where do you get your unique ideas from? Never in a million years would I think of making an air freshener. You inspire me to think outside of the box!

Lynn, I have not decided yet. I know for Christmas I used Douglas Fir and that was fun. So many essential oils I want to try with this. Maybe peppermint to pep me up while driving. I love so many essential oils.
