Christmas Joy Christmas Tree For Creative Inking Blog Hop

Creative Inking Blog Hop

Tree circle

I used a 3 7/8 inch by 8 7/8 inch styrofoam cone for the following project.

1) Cut one sheet of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper into 1 1/2" X 12" strips.  Using Fringe Scissors, cut one side three fourths of the way up on each strip.

2) Start at the bottom of the cone placing the strips with the fringe down and using mini glue dots to place on the styrofoam above the fringe.  I used many glue dots for this project.  The higher up you go the less of a strip you will use so trim any excess.  You can also place excess trim on the cone to hide any open spots including the top of the cone.

3) Pierce a hole in the top (I used paper snips).  Glue two Red Foil Circles (1 3/8") with two Dazzling Diamonds stars on to a long toothpick.  Let dry and place in the top hole.

4) Decorate as you wish.  I used Iced Rhinestone Embellishments placing them on with many mini glue dots and pressing hard.

This project took one sheet of the Dazzling Diamonds Paper, plus just enough extra for the two stars.  If you are a demonstrator this would be a wonderful class!!!  Enjoy!!!
