Creative Inking Blog Hop Blendabilities Door Hanger (With Gift)
February 20, 2015
I wanted to try the blendabilities on Shimmery White Cardstock (Item #10110) to see how it worked. Oh my!!! It got the results I hoped for and more. I used Melon Mambo and Old Olive to color in with using an image from the Mother's Love stamp set in the Occasions catalog and embossed with a Versamark pad and gold embossing powder. I used the Ovals Collection (Item #129381) to cut out the ovals, Gold Foil Sheets (Item #132622), Gold Ribbon (Item #134583) and then Natural & Old Olive Two-Tone Trim (Item #135837) for hanging over the door or a hook. On the back I placed one whole oval over the back. I cut an oval in half and used glue dots to glue around the edges so I made a pocket. In the pocket I made a little envelope using the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper (Item #137784) and put flower seeds and growing directions in it. I popped it in the back. Now I can give this as a gift or a special thinking of you. I thought of many things you can put in the back (gift card, gum or candy, money).
This hanger made me think of my childhood days on May Day. On May Day, my sisters and I would go to a friend's house and ring their door bell. We would quickly leave a bouquet of flowers and run away so that when the friend opened the door no one would be there but they would have a bouquet of flowers. The same thing can be done with this! My positive childhood mischief!

This would make a fun neighbor gift come spring :)
