Yesterday was a fun day because I finally got to play with the Wood Crate Framelits. I used Peekaboo Peach for the cardstock. I could have run it through an embossing folder which would have added some texture, but I just wanted to play and not do that for my first version of the crate. I loved how it turned out and my biggest tip would be to make sure you know exactly where your tape will go before you place it (ask me how I know this;) on the crate. I used the tear and tape adhesive for this crate. It was easy to put together which I loved.
I am thrilled that the pansy punch will be carried over because I punched out several of them in Fresh Fig and separated each. You can do this by wadding them up and scrunching them and then taking the edge and separating each petal until you can pull the flower apart. It adds a soft texture that I love. A Clear Faceted Gem was placed in the center of the flower and then a leaf and two stems from the Soft Sayings card kit was used. I was going to place a sentiment on a tag and add it, but I am not sure how I will use it yet so am waiting on the greeting. I may leave it plain as well. Decisions, decisions. I placed some chocolate in the crate to show how I may use it, but there are so many options such as nuts, small tags or gift cards, packages of seeds for the gardener. Money for a graduate. So many uses for this crate.
